Call for Papers Computers & Operations Research Special Issue on "Recent Advances in Hub Location" Guest Editors: Sibel A. Alumur, James F. Campbell Hub location problems arise in various applications in transportation and telecommunication network design. Application areas include network design for express shipment delivery, less-than-truckload (LTL) and truckload motor carriers, airline passenger and freight transportation, railway networks, liner shipping, urban public transportation networks, and computer and telecommunications networks. For this special issue of Computers & Operations Research, we will specifically solicit revised and extended versions of hub location papers presented at the 14th International Symposium of the Locational Decisions (ISOLDE) conference in Toronto and Huntsville, Canada in July 2017. In addition, we eagerly welcome the submission of high quality, visionary papers that are not associated with this conference. We hope the special issue will document the state-of-the-art in hub location research and provide a framework for future research that moves the field forward by better solving larger problems with more realistic assumptions, and by leveraging the best research in related disciplines. Researchers from all disciplines are invited to consider this special issue as an outlet to publish their high quality work on the topic. Submission Guidelines: All manuscripts should be submitted electronically via the Elsevier Editorial System (EES) http://ees.elsevier.com/cor. Corresponding author must select "SI: Hub Location" as the Article Type to make sure that the paper will be considered for the special issue. Dear Locators, Another ISOLDE conference has gone by. We had an excellent conference both scientifically and socially. I updated the http://isoldeconference.org/ website to include photos and information from this latest meeting. *Postdoctoral Research Associate Position in Integer Programming for Matching Problems* Applications are invited for a 3-year, full time postdoctoral position in the area of integer programming and mathematical optimization algorithms for matching problems. The position will be based at the School of Mathematics, University of Edinburgh, and is available to start between October 1st and November 1st 2017. The successful candidate will join the Edinburgh Research Group in Operational Research and Optimization <http://www.maths.ed.ac.uk/school-of-mathematics/research/ergo> and will work with Dr Sergio García Quiles, Professor Jacek Gondzio and Dr Jörg Kalcsics on the project funded by the EPSRC Research Grant EP/P029825/1 “IP-Match: Integer Programming for Large and Complex Matching Problems”. This project is in collaboration with the University of Glasgow (EPSRC Research Grant EP/P028306/1) and the Project Partners NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) and Teach First. Applicants will have completed a PhD in Operational Research or a related field and will demonstrate outstanding research potential. An ideal candidate will have a documented expertise and research record in integer programming. The applicant will demonstrate excellent programming skills (C++ or similar) and will have high expertise in optimization solvers (CPLEX or similar). Library of Location and Layout Algorithms - Beta Release of LoLoLA

Dear EWGLA Members, as announced during the last EWGLA Meeting, we are pleased to inform you about the first official release of our software library “*LoLoLA*” – *L*ibrary *o*f *Lo*cation and *L*ayout *A*lgorithms. The library and all related information can be downloaded from www.mathematik.uni-kl.de/~lolola. The software is released under the /GNU General Public License /and, therefore, the source code is available for downloading and modifying. Instructions on how to install the library and which algorithms are available can be found in the documentation. Moreover, an executable for the Graphical User Interface (GUI) for Windows is provided. If you have any questions or have a feedback/bug report, feel free to write an email to lolola(a)mathematik.uni-kl.de. Note, that this is a Beta-release. We are thankful for every comment and suggestion for improvement. Dear EWGLA Members FYI :) Bahar Call for Papers: Contribu2ons to Humanitarian Logis.cs Special Issue of IISE Transactions Focus Issue on Scheduling and Logistics Purpose Disasters around world claimed hundreds of thousands of lives and led to US$1.5 trillion lost between 2005 and 2015, according to The United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction. On the other hand, as much as 80 percent of disaster relief expenditures go toward logistics. Therefore, humanitarian logistics is a key element of a disaster relief process. The purpose of this special issue is to publish rigorous research around emerging themes in the area of Humanitarian logistics, such as the process of planning, implementing, and controlling the efficient, cost-effective flow and storage of goods, and materials, as well as related information, from point of origin to the point of consumption for the purpose of alleviating the suffering of vulnerable people. We would welcome contribuAons across a wide range of issues.
