The award aims to recognize the outstanding scholarly achievements of young researchers in the field. Award to be presented at the 2023 INFORMS Conference during the Technical Section on Telecommunications and Network Analytics' scheduled sessions, which will be held October 15 – October 18, 2023, in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. Eligibility: Completed doctoral dissertation in Telecommunications - modeling, analysis and optimization or Network Analytics between January 1, 2020 and March 31, 2023, and being a section member (either student or regular at the time of submission). Each nominee must send by March, 31 2023. There will be another award offered for dissertations completed between April 1, 2023 and December 31, 2023 to be presented at the section's conference to be held during Spring 2024 (tentatively in Dallas, TX, USA). The posting for this award is forthcoming. 1. a 10 page extended abstract of the dissertation, 2. the dissertation itself ( or email link to the dissertation or copy of the dissertation) 3. a letter of recommendation by the dissertation advisor to committee chair Dr. Michael R. Bartolacci at mrb24(a)psu.edu. Please include a cover letter that provides contact information for both the nominee and the dissertation advisor, the name of the academic institution and department granting the doctoral degree, and the department's acceptance date of the dissertation. The letter of recommendation by the dissertation advisor should clearly indicate the specific contribution(s) the dissertation has made in the use of quantitative methods and analytical or operations research techniques to address important existing and future problems in the field of telecommunications and network analytics. The letter should discuss why the dissertation is considered innovative and why the research is relevant and valuable for telecommunications researchers and practitioners. Those who are selected as finalists will receive notification in mid-April. Each finalist will then be asked to submit five copies of the dissertation to the Award Committee Chair. Each finalist must also present a synopsis of his/ her dissertation to the Award Selection Committee at 2023 INFORMS Technical Section on Telecommunications and Network Analytics Conference. The winner will be awarded $1,000, to be presented at the conference. Submissions will be judged on overall scholarly content, relative impact on the field, and novelty of the research. OJMO and scientific publishing

Dear ENOG members Some of you may have seen a call for papers for a new and fair open access journal entitled Open Journal of Mathematical Optimization (OJMO <https://ojmo.centre-mersenne.org/>). OJMO is a journal owned by academics and for academics. Its only purpose is to offer our fellow mathematical optimizers a high-quality forum where papers are published in open access free of charge. Hence, the results published in that journal are freely available to anybody. Sarah Following the EURO 2018 Women in Science and EURO 2019 Women in OR sessions, interested members of the OR community are working with the EURO Executive Committee on an initiative to create the EURO WISDOM Forum (Women In Society: Doing Operational Research and Management Science). This initiative restates the need for gender main-streaming and affirms that OR/MS can offer exciting opportunities for all women if they have equal access to resources and adequate training. Gender main-streaming aims to integrate a gender dimension into existing institutions and practices in order to achieve meaningful gender equality. WISDOM is a forum to support, empower, and encourage the participation of all genders in OR/MS within EURO. In particular, it aims to promote inclusivity by the following actions: 1. Advise/make recommendations/highlight best practices to the EURO executive on issues facing women in OR. Such guidelines can be disseminated to EURO member societies and Working Groups. Positive progress, outcomes and activities of member societies can serve as a template for other member societies; 2. Promote championing, networking and mentoring, particularly of women at the early stages of their career in OR; 3. Promote a conversation around how OR can be utilised to help create a diverse and inclusive future. In January 2020, all EURO member societies were invited to nominate one or two members to participate in establishing the EURO WISDOM Forum. At the moment, the WISDOM Forum organising committee (OC) includes 21 members from 10 European OR societies including two EURO representatives, the EURO Vice Presidents Julia Bennell and Claudia Archetti. The chair of the WISDOM OC is Paula Carroll and the Secretary is Annunziata Esposito Amideo, both from the University College Dublin, Ireland. The WISDOM Forum will operate through three subcommittees focusing on Research, Events and Public Relations (PR). ? The 9th edition of the Winter School on Network Optimization will take place at Hotel Estoril-Éden, Monte Estoril, from the 20th to the 24th of January 2020. Its main objective is to provide an opportunity for PhD students to get together and attend high level courses in the field of Network Optimization. Non-PhD students are welcome to attend the school, but the number of participants is limited and priority will be given to PhD students. INFORMS Telecommunications and Network Analytics Conference (TNAC) 2020 is postponed

Dear colleagues, Due to the rapidly evolving situation related to the Corona virus (COVID-19) epidemic, the organization committee of the INFORMS TNA Conference 2020, in agreement with the steering committee of the INFORMS Telecommunications and Network Analytics Section, has decided to postpone the meeting to a later date. Therefore, we regret to inform you that the conference will no longer take place on the previously scheduled dates (31 March - 2 April, 2020). With the increasing number of infections in Germany and Berlin area, new restrictions are being imposed by a large number of institutions regarding the organization of meetings with external attendees. Additionally, we are aware of the challenges that many of our participants are currently facing with respect to international travels. Amid this uncertain climate of events, the postponement decision has been taken to ensure the health and welfare of our attendees. While these circumstances are outside of our control, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
