http://www.maths.ed.ac.uk/hall/EUROPT15/
EUROPT2015 is the annual event of the EUROPT continuous optimization working group of EURO (The Association of European Operational Research Societies). This is the 13th such workshop and is held in collaboration with the EURO 2015 conference to be held in Glasgow on July 12-15 2015.
Talks should be related to continuous optimization theory, algorithms, software or applications. It is expected that there will be a particular focus on large-scale optimization and linear algebra techniques in optimization.
Plenary speakers confirmed:
Sven Leyffer (Argonne National Laboratory) Lieven Vandenberghe (University of California, Los Angeles) Serge Gratton (CERFACS-IRIT, Toulouse)
Abstracts (max one page *.pdf) should be submitted to EUROPT15@maths.ed.ac.uk by March 27 2015

Dear colleagues,
Sorry for the quite informal call for the conference ILS 2016 and within it the thematic session titled Advance in Modelling and Location under Uncertainty. ILS 2016 will be held in Bordeaux, France, from June 1-4 (http://www.ils2016conference.com).
Next June I am waiting for all of you for spending some quality time talking about what we probably like the most: Facility Location. During the day we will have very nice conference sessions and in the evening, between sips of some nice Bordeaux wine and great French cheese, more chats about about… some other issues, I hope.
Bordeaux is a very exciting city year around but specially so during May and June. Next year France will host the EURO’16 (football tournament) in June in which Bordeaux will host some of the games; also in June there are many activities related to the wine and its industry. There will be some culinary events as well. By the end of that month there is a major event (http://www.bordeaux-fete-le-vin.com) that you should consider attending.
It is important that you anticipate the planning given that Bordeaux will be busier than normal and accommodation costs (and perhaps air transportation costs) may go up. Abstracts should be sent via the conference’s website: http://ils2016conference.com/call-for-papers/ (see under Advances in Supply Chain…).
I personally recommend the following hotels where you can have the best cost/benefit relation:
Adagio Bordeaux Gambetta http://www.accorhotels.com/gb/hotel-6643-aparthotel-adagio-bordeaux-gambetta... Very close to the city center (5 minutes walk) and near the tram line that take you to the conference venue. Prices should be between 60€ to 70€ per night if booked well in advance.
Adagio Bordeaux Rodesse http://www.accorhotels.com/gb/hotel-8385-aparthotel-adagio-access-bordeaux-r... A 15 minutes walk to the city center. Prices similar to the one above. Has a small swimming pool.
Teneo Aparthotel Athena http://www.teneo.fr/residences/teneo-apparthotel-fr/talence-arthena.html It is located in Talence. half way between the conference venue and the city center. The tram line pass on its door so it is very convenient located. However, not a short walk to the city center (45 minutes walk) but with the tram near by why walk?! Rooms are very big (living room, kitchen and one or two bedrooms) and rent cost is between 65€ and 75€ per night. Be careful! Do not book Teneo Bordeaux which is near the train station and it is not a preferred location.
Teneo Talence http://www.teneo.fr/residences/teneo-apparthotel-fr/talence.html It is located across Teneo Aparthotel Athena and it is smaller, no kitchen, and similar prices.
Additionally, there are the more sophisticated and expensive hotels that you find almost everywhere.
I am counting on you and I hope to see all of you here next year, Cheers,
