Dear colleagues,
The XII International Workshop on Locational Analysis and Related Problems will take place 7-8 September 2023 in Edinburgh
(United Kingdom). This workshop is jointly organized by the Spanish Location Network, the Location Working Group on Location GELOCA (SEIO), and the International Centre for Mathematical Sciences (ICMS).
SECOND CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
This is the second call for abstracts. If you would like to contribute with a paper on a facility location problem or on a related
area (widely understood), please, submit an abstract of at most two pages. You can find attached the template for the abstract. To submit your abstract, please, use the following link: IWOLOCA
2023 (XII International Workshop on Locational Analysis and Related Problems) (easychair.org). Please, note that you only need to upload the .tex file (and any other file required to compile, should that be the case). The compiled pdf, or the sty or cls
files provided in the template are not required when you upload your abstract. If you are uploading more than one file, please, do so as zip file.
Important dates for the abstract submission:
* Deadline for abstract submission (EXTENDED): 28 June 2023.
* Notification of acceptance: 29 June 2023.
REGISTRATION AND ACCOMMODATION
We are delighted to inform you that registration is open at IWOLOCA
2023 | University of Edinburgh
Several questions are asked at registration for logistics purposes. Please, answer all of them.
We have two different registration fees, depending on wheter you need accommodation or not.
The "basic registration fee" is £125. It includes participation to the scientific sessions, coffee breaks and lunches
for the two days, a guided tour, and the gala dinner on Friday. It does not include accommodation. Deadline is 15 August.
The "full registration fee" is £525. It includes the same things as the basic registration fee plus 3 nights of accommodation (check-in
is Wednesday 6 September and check-out is Saturday 9 September) at university central venues of KM Central and The Scholar. The room will be allocated to you at one fo the two venues by strict order of registration. Note that it is still high season in Edinburgh
on the dates of the workshop. So, it may be hard to find a central accommodation cheaper than this. As we have a cut off date for the room that we have managed to block, the deadline is 7 July.
TRAVEL GRANTS
Through different funding bodies, we have managed to secure some funding to support with travel and accommodation expenses. If you
wish to apply, please, indicate so in the registration by answering appropiately the relevant questions. Decisions on the award of these grants will be made and communicated as soon as possible, but they will not happen by the deadline of the full registration
fee and grants will not be paid before the workshop takes place. Priority will be given to participants presenting a paper, and among them to early stage researchers (PhD students and postdoctoral researchers), women, members of GELOCA, and participants from
weak currency countries.
If you have any question, please send your email to iwoloca@gm.uca.es with cc to at least one
